10 Massive Mistakes to Avoid in PALWORLD

So, Palworld doesn't really hold your hands much. Being an open-world game means that you're pretty much free to make up your adventure. However, this also means you can be prone to making quite a few mistakes at first. Well, nothing you've done so far is completely irreversible; however, there are many things that you can optimize, get better loot upgrades, much more efficient bases, and many other things that I personally wish I knew the first time I started playing. So let's get started by making you a lot more efficient at traversal, because you can actually incorporate a sprint slide straight into a parachute glide and make that glide a lot faster to cover a lot more ground.

Palworld Mistakes

PALWORLD Strategy Guide: Avoiding Massive Mistakes

So let me explain: whenever you come off mountains or go on a downward path, simply press C (or the equivalent on the keyboard) to enter a slide while you're sprinting, and then immediately jump straight into a glide. This is going to give you a lot more speed with a glider, and this is going to let you reach your destination a lot faster compared to, for example, just using it while you're jumping. It's not going to even cover any ground, just a few meters, which is nothing. So this was one of the best ways I could cover distances before actually getting flying mounts and some of the other better variants.

Now for this, you're going to need stamina. So let's talk about the most important stats you should invest in because right now, there isn't a character respect; this is a feature that was announced for later. So until then, here is the order of the stats I invested in, starting with stamina, then a lot into HP, and then alternating between weight and work speed. Stamina is very important early on; you don't really want to run out of breath and run at a snail's pace. Try to get at least 200 early on. From that point on, go balls deep into HP. This is going to be very important for boss fights; you don't really want to stay there and get one-shotted by most boss enemies, and defense is not going to be as useful. So try to get at least 1,000 HP by level 20. From that point on, it's between work speed and weight. However, I found that weight is a bit more important early on as you do carry stuff all the time, even in between bases, as there's no other way to, for example, transfer them between bases. Let's say you have a specialized ingot farm; you want to transfer some of them to your other base; you will need quite a bit of carry capacity. And work speed is the last one just because in the end stages, you might be a bit faster than your pals at completing some of the more complex projects. So this can actually help to reduce that time timer even more than anything else. Eventually, better options will open up for you, and one of them, and probably the fastest ground mount you can get early on and in the entire game basically, is going to be the dire hall. This is especially good if you can get it with a runner or swift passive skills, as it's going to give it even more speed than it has by default. I will, of course, follow up with some of the best passive skills to look for for every type of pal, but in the meantime, this is going to be the best option at this stage. And eventually, you can move on to flying mounts too.

I already covered a top 10 starting pal Blog, so totally check that one out; it's filled with information on some of the best options both for traversal as well as combat. Now many of these settings and others too can be changed both at the start of your world creation but also while you're still playing. So whenever you load into your new world, you can always go ahead and change many of the settings like the damage you take and give, the amount of spawn, and so on. So you can just press this button right here and then go into either changing the difficulty. But essentially, this is all it is, just these parameters that you can change between the difficulties, so capture rates and whatnot. And there are quite a few in there that you can change. For example, you can completely turn off the timer to incubate eggs; this is going to help a ton if you just farm a lot of them. Or you can change the number of pals that spawn by up to three times. So instead of having one pack of two enemies, it can spawn up to six at the same time or the big bosses, instead of one, it can spawn three of them. But this is going to also be quite a resource hog, and there are many in here that you can also change. However, I don't recommend messing up with the damage multipliers; you can still do so, but it's just going to make the already easy game way too easy. This will not affect your gameplay at all, and you can always revert back to your normal difficulty if you want to. Let's say maybe momentarily you want to farm a bunch of pals, you can bump that up and then go straight back. It's not going to affect your save file at all.

Now at number four, one of the biggest concerns I've seen a lot of you posting about is not having your pals listen to you. So there are a few things that we can actually do to improve that, and one of them is to create more specialized workforces. For example, if you go with an NPC that has a broader range of work ability, it's not going to do the thing that you want it to do too often. Let's say, for example, Robin quill, which is still the best base handler. As you can see, it's suitable for a lot of work types; it can plant, it can do handy work, it can do lumbering. However, if you want to do a specific task with it, like, for example, just transporting, it's not going to do it; it's going to alternate between these. So instead, if you create specialized bases, like, for example, the ingot farm I already talked about, you can have a specialized workforce that only does one thing. Let's say, for example, I just want them to mine ingots and give me a lot of ore so I can craft it into that. You can get something like a tomat, which has a very good starting into mining and doesn't really have much work suitability. It can only do a bit of transporting and gathering, so it's mostly going to focus on the one thing you said it to do, which is going to be mining. In fact, this specific NPC won't even do anything other than mining; rarely does it do any gathering and especially transporting. And you can find it all over the place; at night, you will find it pretty much everywhere in the starting zone; you just have to look out for it.

Now at number five, another thing that completely slashes the productivity of your base is not paying attention to your pals' sanity levels. And this is going to eventually turn them completely sluggish, even refuse working and even give other debuffs like completely broken limbs and whatnot. So there are a couple of things you can do early on to fix that. One of them is to completely move on from the straw beds and actually start going with better variants. So when

you load into a new game, you'll get the tier one bed for free, which is the straw variant. This is going to give your pals only six comfort, and the better you go, the more comfort it's going to give. So from here, you will want to go on to at least tier two, which is going to give them 16. However, you can go on to tier three, which is going to give them the best comfort out of them all, 50, and you can get this right here on this island called the spine; you can always find it; it's a big island, and it's going to have quite a few varied environments on it. And this is going to be especially good because it will both give a lot of comfort but also be very easy to repair. Unlike, for example, the tier four bed, which is going to be found at this location right here; it's a bit harder to find and get to it because you have to traverse through the map to get to this location. However, the biggest downside is that it's not only hard to repair, but it's also harder to get started. So for that, you're going to need a couple of higher tier materials, like the advanced engineer's tool kit, which is not that easy to find early on. And even worse, you will have to have two of the endgame materials, which is going to be a silicon bar and also a gravitino bar, which is not only hard to get early on, but even harder to get in the quantities required to build this specific bed.

5. World Settings Adjustment for Customized Gameplay

At number six, let's talk about gliders, which are probably the best way to traverse any map that you're on. However, there are a couple of things you can do to optimize them as well. First off, you can create gliders on the fly, quite literally. All you have to do is get a crafting station, any crafting station. Just drop it, get the materials you need, and you can make it straight on the fly. However, the biggest thing you want to do with them is to make sure you've got a lot of comfort. The more comfort you get, the better it's going to be at gliding, and the more stamina it's going to consume. However, in the early game, you won't have the luxury to go into all of these, as they will require an engine. So instead, focus on getting the parasail, which is the early game variant of the glider. And you will also want to start making it with some comfort in mind. For example, this one right here, even though it's in the first tier, it has quite a bit of comfort, it's got 25. So this is going to be a very good early game glider. However, when you do unlock the better ones, you'll want to go with the sail wings, which is the best variant in the game, as it's going to give a ton of comfort as well as gliding speed. And you can also go with the sail fins for even more comfort, especially if you can get them with some speed and stamina passive skills.

Now, before you unlock the sail wings, which are some of the last options to craft, you will be stuck with just the sail, which doesn't really have much comfort and especially not much speed. So for that, the best options are going to be the condor sail, which is not only going to be one of the fastest but also give a good amount of comfort. You can find this one in the first biome, which is not going to be that hard to get to. You just need a bit of gliding and also some sprinting to get to it. And also, the best one for early on is going to be the beach sail, which is very easy to make and also give quite a bit of comfort, especially when you consider the time it's going to take you to make it. So keep this one in mind; this is a very good early game option. And of course, one thing you should always keep in mind is the passive skills for the gliders; one of the best ones you can look for is speed and stamina.

Now at number seven, another thing that's going to severely limit your progression is the fact that you won't have enough pals working at the same time. So for that, you can go to the tech tree, where you can unlock quite a few options to get your pals working for you. One of the first ones you should unlock, in my opinion, is going to be the mechanical workbench, as it's going to give your pals the ability to craft and repair, and this is especially good early on, as they can already carry more than you do, especially with the pack mule passive skill. And if you're going to follow the early game strategy I gave you in the previous top 10 pals Blog, you will have a lot of pals ready to start crafting for you. And especially if you can make a specialized base for crafting, like, for example, a workshop, this is going to help even more because it will give your pals the ability to use the mechanical workbench to craft your items. Now for that, you will need some fuel, and the best fuel you can use is going to be liquid fuel. And you can find this right here; it's a tier one resource, so it's going to be very easy to make, and it's going to burn for quite a long time. So for that, just drop it into this crafting station right here, and you can start making it. It's going to be, however, a bit harder to get; it's going to be a tier two resource, and it's going to require you to have a bit of sulfur. You can find this one on the spine island, so you can get some there if you don't have it yet. Or the other place you can get it is going to be the mountain biome, where you can find it pretty much everywhere in between the biome's transition.

And as you progress and unlock more tech tree items, you're going to find quite a few other items that are going to be useful for your pals. So for example, later on, you'll want to unlock the repair shed, which is going to give your pals the ability to repair themselves, as well as the mechanical furnace, which is going to give your pals the ability to smelt items for you. So instead of you doing the menial tasks, you can just make them work for you, and this is going to allow you to focus on more important stuff. Also, the power cells are going to be very good as well because you can just plug your pals straight into your crafting stations, and they will work even when you're offline. And if you want to make sure you're always online, you can just make a power generation base, like, for example, using this solar panel. And you can make this one with a couple of the most common early game resources: polymer, which is going to be found everywhere, and copper ingots. So you can make this one on your first day, even.

Now at number eight, let's talk about farming, which is one of the most important resources early on, as it's going to allow you to get many of the other resources like the strawberries, which are not only going to be good for you to eat but also for the pals

as well. However, you will have to be very careful as it's going to take a bit of time to make them. So for that, focus on going with the mushroom farms, as these are going to give you quite a lot of the food you need. And also, they're going to take a lot less time to grow. So for that, make sure you make quite a few of them, and you will also want to upgrade them later on, as the higher-tier mushrooms are going to give you more food, and especially more seeds, so you can make even more of them. And especially later on, you will want to go with the greenhouses, as these are going to give you a lot more food and especially not require any water. However, these are going to require you to have the advanced engineering tech tree skill, and you will have to find the greenhouse blueprint, which is going to be a rare item, and also, you will have to have an upgraded workbench as well as the crafting station. So these are going to be a bit harder to get into, especially early on. And for that, a very good alternative is going to be the sprinkler system, as this is going to be a very early option to get into, as well as you can make it on the fly quite literally with any crafting station. So for that, you can just make one on the fly as you are farming, and especially, it's going to be a very good option if you're going to go with the large crops, which are going to give you quite a lot of food, and especially a lot of seeds as well.

Now at number nine, let's talk about tech tree skills, which are going to be one of the most important things to unlock early on. Now one of the first skills you should unlock is going to be the repair skill, as this is going to allow you to not only repair your items very easily but also your pals. So for that, all you have to do is press F, and you will be able to repair your items. However, when it comes to your pals, it's going to be a bit different. All you have to do is go to the repair screen, and you will see all of your pals here. And all you have to do is click on one of them, and then you will have to go ahead and click on the button at the bottom, and this is going to repair them. However, you will have to keep in mind that the more you use it, the more it's going to cost. So for that, it's going to cost some of the advanced engineer's tool kits, which you will have to make in your advanced workbench.

Now, this is going to be a bit harder to get into early on. However, it's going to be worth it, especially when you're going to get the tier four bed, which is going to have a lot of comfort and especially more repair slots. So for that, if you're going to follow the early game strategy that I'm going to give you in the next top 10 pals Blog, you will have quite a few pals ready to start crafting for you, as well as many beds to put them into, as well as many fuel sources to keep them powered up. So for that, you will want to go with the repair skill early on and get into it quite a bit. And another very good reason to go into the repair skill early on is going to be the repair hammer, as this is going to be one of the fastest repair items in the game, and especially not require any fuel.

Now, the repair hammer is going to be very easy to make. All you have to do is drop a bit of polymer, which is going to be one of the most common items early on. And you will want to go with this one, as it's going to repair very fast, as well as it's going to have quite a bit of durability, especially when you're going to make it with some passive skills in mind. And of course, when you're going to unlock the later tech tree skills, you're going to find quite a few other items that are going to be very good as well, like, for example, the power gloves, which are going to be one of the fastest repair items in the game, as well as not require any fuel at all. And the advanced repair skill is going to be very good as well because it's going to allow you to repair any item in the game, and especially a lot faster. And also, you will be able to repair all of your pals as well. So when you're going to get into the repair skill, make sure you focus on leveling it up quite a bit, especially if you're going to follow the early game strategy that I'm going to give you in the next top 10 pals Blog.

Now at number 10, let's talk about fuel, which is one of the most important resources in the game. As you will find quite a few items that are going to require it, like the furnace, for example, or the gliders, as well as some of the crafting stations and especially the mechs. So for that, you will want to focus on a few early options. And one of the best options is going to be the pack fuel, which is very easy to make, especially when you're going to go with a specialized base for crafting, like, for example, the workshop, as this is going to give your pals the ability to craft it for you, and especially with the mechanical workbench, which is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast. And of course, the pack fuel is going to be a very good early option, as it's going to burn for quite a long time. And especially if you're going to go with the mechanical workbench, as your pals will be able to make it for you very easily, especially when you're going to get quite a few of them working for you, and especially with the crafting stations that you can drop into the specialized base for crafting, like, for example, the workshop, as this is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast, especially when you're going to drop the fuel right into the fueling stations.

Now, the fueling stations are going to be found in a few places on the map. And especially the workshop is going to be found right here; it's going to have quite a few varied environments on it. And especially, it's going to be found in the starting biome, which is going to be a very good thing, as this is going to be one of the easiest biomes to get to. So you can get a lot of pack fuel very easily, especially if you're going to focus on it and upgrade it as well. So for that, drop a bit of polymer into the pack fuel right here, and you can start upgrading it. And you will want to go with at least tier three, as this is going to be one of the best early options for you. And also, the pack fuel is going to be a very good early game option, as it's going to burn for quite a long time, especially when you're going to go with the large wood log, which is one of the best early options to get into. So for that, just drop the pack fuel into the furnace, and you can start making a lot of it right away, especially if you

're going to go with the large wood log, as this is going to be one of the best early options for you. So for that, just drop a bit of polymer into the furnace, and you can start making a lot of it right away, especially when you're going to go with the large wood log, as this is going to be one of the best early options for you. So for that, just drop the large wood log into the furnace, and you can start making a lot of it right away. And especially if you're going to follow the early game strategy that I'm going to give you in the next top 10 pals video, you will have quite a few pals working for you, as well as quite a few of them going straight into the fueling stations. So you can start making a lot of fuel right away, especially when you're going to go with the mechanical workbench, as this is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast. And especially with the mechanical workbench, which is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast. And especially with the crafting stations that you can drop into the specialized base for crafting, like, for example, the workshop, as this is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast, especially when you're going to drop the fuel right into the fueling stations. And especially the crafting stations are going to be found in a few places on the map, and especially the workshop, which is going to be one of the easiest biomes to get to. So you can get a lot of pack fuel very easily, especially if you're going to focus on it and upgrade it as well.

So to recap, early on, focus on a specialized ingot farm and base, especially if you're going to follow the early game strategy that I'm going to give you in the next top 10 pals video. This is going to give you quite a few pals working for you, as well as quite a few of them going straight into the fueling stations. So you can start making a lot of fuel right away, especially when you're going to go with the mechanical workbench, as this is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast, and especially with the crafting stations that you can drop into the specialized base for crafting, like, for example, the workshop, as this is going to give your pals the ability to craft it very fast, especially when you're going to drop the fuel right into the fueling stations.
